A 2,000 square foot house gets a cold-climate heat pump for most of the year and keeps its gas furnace for the coldest nights.
The owners wanted lower bills and worried about a heat pump in an Ohio winter.
Marcus ran a load calculation and sized the heat pump for the house, not the old unit. Luis’s crew set the outdoor unit on a pad, connected it to the existing ducts and added a controller that switches to the furnace below 20°F.
